The 80 skeletons, which are thought to have been interred about 1600 to 1900 years ago, are now thought to be the remains of gladiators, and not criminals.The cemetery, which is well laid out, didn't display the sort of  burials goods that indicate the individuals were especially remarkable. The study looks at the remains of a 500 year-old cemetery in Peru.
