For me History doesn't get more interesting than this. The Examiner is reporting on the 1963 study where the sayings of an ancient papyrus was put to the test. What the papyrus says is something to the effect of 'if you want to know if you are pregnant then get some barley and wheat seeds and urinate on them'.
If the barley seeds sprout or grow, it means a male child will be born. If the wheat sprouts and thrives, it means a female child will arrive in a few months. If the barley and wheat grains never sprout and grow when a woman urinates on the grain seeds, the woman is not pregnant and therefore, will not give birth this time around.
And apparently this method is 70 percent accurate, although the determination of gender is bogus.
